This week's episode of Friction match starts with a bang, as in Match getting it on with a woman in the elevator on the fashion to his penthouse. So his wings popular out and things get sideways. She thinks he's an angel, but she as well thinks it's cosplay. While they're talking Lieutenant Pierce comes up and asks about the Sinner Man as he gives Chloe her new case, merely Chloe quiets Match. When Pierce leaves she tells him that the Sinner Man is an urban myth that criminals use to excuse their beliefs. If Match can bring her whatsoever proof of his existence, she says she'll assistance him. Until so, they have a new case.
They arrive at the crime scene and discover Dan there with a book of jokes that vest to the dead body. Apparently JD Woodstock was a stand comedian, which Lucifer says Dan tin can relate to. Dan defends his improv, and Chloe is amazed that she had no thought near this part of Dan's life. Ella arrives and thinks JD was tortured, and she recognizes him as the comic who claimed his jokes had been stolen past a rival a few days prior. There is a billboard featuring his rival, Bobby Rowe. As they talk about the case, Pierce is in a car nearby watching them.
JD posted a video about Bobby stealing his jokes. He claims that he finally found proof, just the proof was never posted because he had been killed. Lucifer suspects that Bobby probably stole the proof, but Ella says that Bobby'southward jokes are then authentic that there's no way he stole them. She volunteers to get with them, just Chloe isn't sure. She eventually agrees, and they exit.
Amenadiel shows up at the bar to see Dr. Linda. She chosen him there to thank him for saving her life. She knows Maze helped, too, just she knows he slowed fourth dimension to save her. He asks how she's really doing. She changes the subject and thinks his powers are back, but he says they aren't. Amenadiel thinks his father is testing him, only this time he's gear up. She offers to help him because he helped her. She'south sure she can handle it.
He takes her to the penthouse to show her Lucifer's wings. Friction match left them at that place for anyone to see, but seeing them is grusome for her. Amenadiel says they need garbage numberless.
Dan goes to see Pierce thinking they got off on the incorrect foot. Dan says he's not a dirty cop, and Pierce questions the fact that he removed a gun from evidence. Pierce says he's glad Dan came in because he wants all of Dan'south intel on Match.
Chloe, Ella and Friction match show up at the ready and find that Bobby Rowe is a pretentious jerk. He says JD was a loser and a failure. Ella is completely starstruck as they go to the taping to watch Bobby on his show. Friction match before long realizes that it'due south a child show and the audience is full of kids. Lucifer storms the phase and tells Bobby that he stole a homo'southward jokes and made a mockery of it. Bobby is horrified when Lucifer grabs a puppet and points it at him, mainly because at that place's a gun inside and Friction match accidentally shoots him.
Lucifer and Chloe talk to Bobby while he's getting bandaged up. He never used that boob. Lucifer asks what he wants, and Bobby reveals he wants off the show. Amenadiel and Linda bag up the wings. She thinks information technology must be painful that he keeps cutting the wings off. Amenadiel says that they all take pain. He says this could be a examination because he has to dispose of the one matter he wants. It isn't easy and that makes it a practiced exam.
Chloe and Match become through the emails and they seem to end at a certain point. Chloe says that she did research on the show and the testify used to exist nigh a guy who was insecure about his micropenis. Of course Lucifer has to make jokes about it. Lucifer starts to wonder if the killer is the actual victim.
Lucifer returns home and talks to Maze on the phone. He wants her help with the Sinner Homo. He stops and sees Pierce behind him. Pierce says he has finally figured out who is really is. Lucifer says he has been telling the truth the whole time, only Pierce says this is about the Sinner Man. Pierce says he'due south in that location to warn him about the Sinner Man because he's not a myth. He says Friction match should know who he's dealing with because he dealt with him earlier. He killed someone close to Pierce. Lucifer says he will not dorsum down from this fight.
Amenadiel and Linda dispose of the wings in a dumpster and burn them. As they burn Linda says that they should say something. Amenadiel says he doesn't even know if this is a examination but if Match sees the wings equally trash, then they will be treated every bit trash. She doesn't retrieve Lucifer ways to hurt him, and Amenadiel realizes that Friction match is his examination. He always has been.
Lucifer tells Chloe about his visit with Pierce the night before, merely Dan interrupts and says that the emails came from a comedy club and they make up one's mind to lure him out. Dan is the perfect guy for the job. Later, Chloe and Lucifer spotter from the audience as he takes the stage. He's nervous and starts out with the penis jokes. Chloe tells him to proceed going and Lucifer goes on and on virtually Dan having a 'babe carrot" and he actually throws tomatoes on him. Dan runs off the stage and later Dan says he botched the whole thing. Equally information technology turns out, a guy comes up and thanks them for continuing upwards for him. Sheila sneaks along the roof and Lucifer finds her. He wants to know why she did it all. She says it's actually hard to get ahead in stand up. Chloe is able to distract her and Lucifer strikes.
Later, Lucifer arrives at the police station thinking Dan called him, only it was really Pierce. Pierce reveals that the Sinner Human is in LA and wants to know if Friction match will accept his advice, but Match isn't going to back away. Pierce reveals that they captured his thug and says they can work together on this, only he doesn't want anyone else involved, especially not Chloe considering she has a kid. Lucifer begrudgingly agrees.
When Lucifer goes in to speak with Alonso about his involvement with the Sinner Human, Match can't get his answers so he tricks him. Alonso says he didn't desire anyone sleeping with his girl. He doesn't know anything nearly the Sinner Human, and Friction match realizes he's telling the truth.
Lucifer tells Linda that he doesn't know Alonso's connection, but she wants to talk about his wings. She says that perhaps he should let the wings stay and work on acceptance. He thinks the reply is for him to get back into the game…which ways a line of people at his club asking for favors.
